The Ukrainian Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights, Valeria Lutkovska, intends to achieve a visit to the Crimea with the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, and the Council of Europe's human rights Commissioner, Nils Muiznieks.
"I received a letter from Pamfilova that she did not oppose a joint visit to Crimea. But in this situation I would not want the visit to be held in the format of "two of the Ombudsman", without a third party to confirm the objectivity of each of us it would be difficult," Interfax cites the Ombudsman.
Lutkovska added that she already appealed to her counterpart from the Council of Europe, inviting him to take part in this visit to Crimea. "I have his consent, and now I'm going to ask Ella Pamfilova, then we can talk about the objectivity of the assessment of the situation," Lutkovska said.
