Russian Muslims feel with the French people deep sorrow for the victims of the terrorist attack on the Charlie Hebdo office, and believe that the mourning declared in France is mourning of the Muslims of Russia too.
This message was circulated by the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia (CMSB) in Ufa. "The terrorists who committed the terrible crime in the Paris office of the journal, defiantly impersonating Muslims, and justifying the accusations of their victims, as revenge for insulting Islam and its holy sites." Russian Muslims mourn deeply with the French people for the innocent victims, once again exposing the true face of terrorism, which has no relation to such concepts as homeland, nationality or religion. The national mourning announced in France is also a mourning by Russian Muslims," RIA Novosti cited the CMSB message.
CMSB also pointed out that it is ready to fight all forms of terrorism, regardless of "whatever ethnic or religious clothing it wears." Muslims in Russia appealed to the world community to join forces and fight back at the terrorists.
"At the same time, we are deeply convinced that the leading political leaders of the modern world should be more deeply aware of the global challenges, a successful response to which is possible only as a result of association, collective efforts of the world community, only on condition of correct and coherent alignment of global and national policy priorities," CMSB stressed.
