Stavropol pupil saves two drowning children

Ilya Zubtsov, a 14-year-old pupil of School Number 1 in Zheleznovodsk, saved the lives of two drowning children in one of the local lakes.

On January 11th two children decided to go sledging on the lake, despite warning signs. They fell underwater through a hole in the ice. Ilya Zubtsov noticed them at that moment. He crawled to the sinking children to help them to safety. A fisherman saw them and ran to the children. Together they managed to pull away first one child and then the other.
