The crime rate in Ingushetia dropped by 7.2% to 1,623 registered crimes in 2014, said Ingush Chief Investigator Ibragim Mogushkov at an extended session with colleagues.
The number of exceptionally grave crimes dropped by 13.3%, grave crimes by 10.4%, average-severity crimes by 5.2%, minor crimes by 4.9%. The crime-solving rate improved by 5%. 236 out of 526 active criminal investigations were completed in 2014.
Ingushetia is ranked 11th on the list of crime-solving efficiency of Russian Federation constituents.
