The two men who appeared on a video of an execution that was spread in Syria by rebels of Islamic State (IS) are not citizens of Kazakhstan, the press service of the National Security Committee (NSC) of the Republic said.
"The bodies of the National Security Committee held all the necessary security checks into the posting of the video, which shows the execution of two men on the internet. Those two men allegedly were considered intelligence agents from Kazakhstan. It has been established that the people shown in the video are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan," stated a message of the press service of the National Security Committee, released on Thursday.
