In the ranks of the terrorist organization Islamic State more than 600 Turkish citizens are fighting. This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu.
He called IS a serious threat to Turkey and the world.
Earlier, the Foreign Minister informed that during the fighting more than 100 Turkish citizens who had joined the IS had been killed. He also noted that in the fight against this terrorist organization 100 people were deported from Turkey and 7 thousand were denied entry to the country, recalls Trend.
According to Cavusoglu, countries that intend to fight Islamic State should cooperate with Turkey in the field of intelligence sharing.
According to data previously quoted by Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag, 2,760 people were arrested for relations with the IS in Turkey.
