Another case of sleeping sickness is registered in Kazakhstan

In the past 24 hours in the district hospital of Esil in the Akmola region four more Kalachi villagers have been hospitalized with so-called sleeping sickness.

Two people were hospitalized yesterday - woman born in 1939 and a girl born in 2002. On Friday morning two teenagers aged ten and fifteen years were also brought to hospital.

Despite thousands of studies and numerous commissions, the cause of the disease could not be determined. This year, the authorities of the Akmola region started resettling people to another place.
