The cross of the Surb Hach Church is consecrated

The cross of the Surb Hach Church is consecrated.

The cross mounted on the dome of the Surb Hach church on Akhtamar
island in Van has been consecrated by the leader of the spiritual
Council of the Constantinople Patriarchate of the Armenian Apostolic
Church, Archimandrite Tatul Anushyan, news.am reports referring to the
Turkish newspaper "Hurriyet".

The cross was mounted on the church on September 30. For the duration
of the work the island was closed to visitors.
