Iranian President Hassan Rouhani went to work on the subway today.
The head of state went from the station "Azadi" to the station "Imam Ali", while communicating with passengers and listening to their concerns, Iranian news agency Fars reports.
On January 19, Iran celebrates the Day of Clean Air, which the president marked by choosing the subway as a type of environmentally-friendly public transport.
The head of the Environmental Protection Organization, Masoumeh Ebtekar, was accompanying the President on this visit to Tehran’s subway.
Other Iranian officials also took advantage of public transport today, Trend reports.
