7,000 hectares to be demined in Chechnya

 

Lieutenant-General Yuri Stavitsky, the chief of Russian Engineer Forces, said that 7170.4 hectares of forests will have been demined in Chechnya by the end of 2017, RIA Novosti reports.Russia is marking the 314th anniversary of the Engineer Forces today, January 21.Stavitsky reminded that engineers had started demining Chechnya in 2012. They have already cleared 6435.5 hectares of 8462 explosive objects.
