The Gudermes authorities, including member of the Chechen parliament Ramzan Lechkhadjiev, Gudermes regional head Vaha Nasuhanov, law-enforcement authorities and religious leaders, have met with relatives of members of illegal armed groups.
There was a harsh discussion, during which Chechen officials expressed the opinion that the relatives of criminals are responsible for their actions, reports YugaRu.
"The republic's authorities are doing everything to provide people with good conditions for a normal and peaceful life; therefore we have to cooperate instead of creating obstacles," - he added.
Speaking about the discussion with the relatives of the criminals he pointed out that "they claim not to know where they (the criminals) are and not to keep in touch with them. This is beyond any logic. The entire village knows when a cow or a sheep disappears and goes out to look for them. And when it is about a young man, especially if it is a Chechen family, there is no doubt where he is,"- he said.
"We stand for law and order, but the situation when you benefit from the welfare system of Russian Federation while your relatives fight against this country and kill innocent people is unacceptable," - noted Nasuhanov.
