Somali pirates demand ransom for Turkish and Georgian citizens

Somali pirates have demanded $15 million for the vessel 'Olib' and its 13 Georgian and 3 Turkish passengers, Armenia Today reports.

The owner of the vessel, the Greek 'Frio Ventures' company, offered a ransom of $150,000, which the pirates didn't accept. If the $15 million ransom is not paid, the pirates will put the passengers ashore without any guarantees for their safety.

The vessel travelling to India from Alexandria was hijacked on September the 8th.
