Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has addressed the young people of Europe and the US in an open letter in which he said that the West is trying to spread hatred of Islam and Muslims, the Russian service of the BBC reports.
The Ayatollah urged youths not to become victims of a "disinformation campaign" and to receive knowledge of Islam from its primary and original sources, primarily from the Qur’an, Armenia Today reports.
The reason for his appeal to Western youth was the recent events in France, Khamenei said.
The message was written in English and published on the official website of the Iranian spiritual leader.
