Kavkaz Highway blocked in protest against crime in Mineralnye Vody

The federal highway "Kavkaz" was blocked today in Mineralnye Vody by people protesting against crime in the city.

The protest was connected with a fight, which occurred near the café "Opera" on January 21, Itar Tass reports.

On January 21, two groups of men had a fight near the café "Opera". According to sources in local law enforcement agencies, about 5 special police officers and 25 local residents participated in the fight. During the fight, one of the police officers was stabbed and later died on the spot.
