Border crossing in Turkey closed after random fire from Syria

The Turkish authorities have closed the country’s southeastern Cilvegozu border crossing for exit and entry due to security concerns following random gunfire from Syria's nearby Bab al-Hawa border crossing.

Gunfire was heard nearly 500 meters from the area where Turkish trucks transfer their cargo to Syrian-registered trucks, the Anadolu Agency reports.

No casualties were reported, but officials said the border crossing would remain closed at least until Tuesday, Trend reports.
