The transition to the Latin script in Kazakhstan will start no earlier than 2025, the country’s Minister of Culture and Sport Arystanbek Mukhamediuly said.
He made the remarks during a briefing in Astana on Jan.30.
“Currently this issue is being thoroughly studied,” he said. “I believe there is no need to speed up this process in order to prevent the negative impact on our activity,” Trend reports.
The minister reminded that the process of working out the educational programs and classbooks will take a long time.
