An audio Quran has been presented at Uchkeken (Karachay-Cherkessia). The audio format was made by the local youth development fund Elbrusoid. The audio book was directed by Rasul Atmurzayev. In his words, translating the Quran to the Karachay-Balkar language took a year.Guest at the presentation got free copies of the audio book, others may get a copy at an office of Elbrusoid or listen to the recording on the official website of the organization.The Audiokniga project is two years old. It has already resulted in release of four products: a collection of Kerim Otarov’s poetry, Karachay-Balkar Nart songs and Nartla stories, fairy tales for children. The project focuses on preservation, development and popularization of the native language and literature.
