Three people were killed and two injured in an accident in Stavropol Territory. The accident happened at 04:20 MSK in the St. George area on the Georgiyevsk-Novopavlovsk highway.
"Previously, the driver of a VAZ-2108, travelling from Novopavlovsk, drove into the left-hand lane and collided with an oncoming Mercedes-Benz car," TASS cites a message of the press department of the regional traffic police.
As a result, the driver and two passengers of the Lada died immediately. The Mercedes driver and his passenger were hospitalized with injuries in the Central Hospital of Georgievsk.
A girl born in 2011 was bwing transported in the back seat of the Mercedes with the use of a child restraining system. "Because of the child seat this child was not injured," the traffic police said.
The circumstances of the accident are being established.
