Turkey restitutes Armenian cemetery in Sisli

 

Turkey has restituted the Armenian cemetery to the Three Altars Fund of the Armenian Church in the Sisli District of Istanbul. The cemetery covers 41,950 square meters and costs $286 million. The Fund requested restitution of the cemetery in 2011, Vatan reports.The main administration of Turkish funds returned an Armenian cemetery to the St. Akopyan Hospital in 2012, another territory covering 42,000 square meters, including a stadium in the Zeytinburnu District, was returned to the St. Saviour Hospital.
