NATO wants to hold regular exercises in Georgia

By the end of this year the North Atlantic Alliance will hold military exercises in Georgia.

"We plan to to hold military drills in Georgia," Interfax cited a source in the NATO headquarters there. In connection with the meeting of the NATO-Georgia Commission on February 5, the headquarters also reported about plans to open a training center in Georgia for NATO members and partner states.

The issue would be discussed at a session of the NATO-Georgia Commission.

In November 2014 exercises under the auspices of NATO were held in Lithuania for the first time.
