Azerbaijan has introduced the Oath of Citizenship, declared if a person resumes or accepts citizenship of the country.
Yesterday Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed the amendments to the Law on Citizenship, which require recitation of the oath, including for nationals at the age of 14 years.
The oath is declared under the flag of the country, and a hand must be put on the Constitution of the country.
The text of the civil oath is signed and sent to the authorized bodies of the executive power.
