A chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), Reza Hosseini Moghaddam, has been killed in Iraq fighting Islamic State militants.
Hosseini Moghaddam, who was in Iraq as a military adviser to the Iraqi army in fighting IS, was killed on February 7 by an IS sniper in the Iraqi city of Samara, a statement posted on the Iranian news site Tasnim said.
Iran's military advisors are playin an important role in the fight against militants of the terrorist organization in Iraq, Trend reports.
