A Russian Su-24 bomber has crashed in the southern region of Volgograd.
“The aircraft crashed near the Marinovka Air Base outside Volgograd. There were two crew members on board, whose fate is so far unknown,” RIA Novosti cited a law enforcement source.
The plane crashed seven kilometers from the airfield. The Defense Ministry has established a special commission to investigate the causes of the crash and a search and rescue team has been dispatched to the accident area.
The Sukhoi Su-24 frontline bomber was developed in the Soviet Union.
