State of emergency lifted in Stavropol Territory

 

The state of emergency regime imposed on the Stavropol Territory in mid-2014 has been lifted. No new refugees have entered the region since the start of 2015, TASS reports.20,343 refugees from Ukraine, including 4,747 children, arrived in the Stavropol Territory in 2014. 8,324 of them were put on the list of migrants. 33% of them settled in the Kavkazskiye Mineralniye Vody, 22% in Stavropol and the Shpakovsky District. Only one out of 19 centers for migrants remains active, it has 9 people.Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergey Ivanov said in late January that new refugees could start arriving from Ukraine. Refugees from the Rostov Oblast may be sent to different regions of Russia again in that case.
