Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov called on residents of the republic to remember and honor the feats of veterans of the Great Patriotic War by surrounding them with care and attention. According to him, Chechnya should approach the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory with due responsibility.
"Our young people should be proud of their ancestors and to follow their example in a high manner. Victory Day is a time to remember the great deeds of our forefathers, to give them respect and gratitude. Young people need to know the price that was paid by our ancestors, so that we can live in a free and prosperous country,
" Kadyrov said.
