Russia sends another batch of humanitarian aid to Donbas

The deputy head of the National Center for Crisis Management of the Emergency Situations Ministry, Oleg Voronov, said that the Russian Emergencies Ministry convoy carrying humanitarian aid to Donbas has arrived at the border.

 

The convoy consists of more than 170 vehicles, which will bring over 1800 tons of humanitarian supplies to Donbas.

 

He said that among the goods there are peas, millet, buckwheat, flour, oil, pasta, canned fish, tea and sugar. Vehicles are also bringing to Donetsk and Lugansk building materials, medicines and material resources necessary for the sustenance of the population

 

At two border crossings vehicles are being checked by Russian border guards and customs officers. Also, there are the border guard and customs services of Ukraine, which selectively inspect the vehicles; they have not yet made any comments. The procedures are being observed by representatives of the OSCE mission.
