Ingush Leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov said at a meeting with bloggers in Magas that he was not authorized to oblige females to wear hijabs in public places, Komsomolskaya Pravda reports.
He noted that women had fathers, brothers or husbands who could tell them what to wear. Yevkurov added that extreme religiousness was peculiar to people who knew the least about religious issues.
