Ahmadinejad thanks Pope for anti-Koran burning stance

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has sent a message of thanks to
Pope Benedict XVI over his criticism of Koran-burning, RIA Novosti
reports, citing IRNA.

Two Christian priests burned copies of the Islamic holy book in their
yards in Nashville on September 11. Copies of the book were also
desecrated in New York, where a memorial for the victims of the
September 11 terrorist attack was taking place.
