A troop of gunmen leadered by Magomedali Vagabov is blocked in a forest in Karabudakhkent district of Dagestan, Gazeta.Ru reports.
According to the data of law-encorcement agencies, this troop is the biggest on and consists of 40 persons. Special sevices do not exclude the possibility that Vagabov (one of the leaders of Dagestan underground) himself is also present there. Anvar Sharipov, the brother of the terrorist who has explosed herself in tho Moscow subway, is possibly in the troop too. The local department of FSB of Dagestan reports that currently the zone is being studied by anti-terrorist units. The first gunfighting took place today in the morning, after which the gunmen retreated into the forest.
Local inhabitants say that shooting has been heared since 7 am. Currently helicopters are flying over the forest and destroying possible camps of the gunmen. A source in low-enforcement agencies has approved that. The zone is blocked and is being fired from the air and from mortars.
According to Internal Ministry, the subversite terroristic troop of Magomedali Vagabov took part in some terroristic attacks, in attacking policemen and their relatives.
Let us remind that the last March a troop of 12 gunmed leadered by Abdulgapur Saryayev was destroyed in this district of Dagestan. There were three foreign mercenaries among them.
