The law-enforcement agencies of Iran have arrested 101 members of 20 gangs involved in robberies in Tehran today, the head of the law enforcement agencies of Tehran General Hossein Sajedinia announced.
"Among them are violent muggers, burglars and car thieves," TASS cited the General.
Many of those arrested, according to Sajedinia, are recidivists, and already had criminal records for similar crimes.
"As we promised our citizens, we conducted this planned action to further ensure security in the capital," the general concluded.
