Education Minister of the Stavropol Territory Vasily Lyamin has been dismissed for allegedly receiving a bribe worth 1 million rubles from the head of the Kislovodsk State Multi-Profile Technical College, given for over 19 million rubles of subsidies, RIA Novosti cites Governor Vladimir Vladimirov.
Prosecutors say that Lyamin was detained by FSB agents.
Investigators are considering detaining him. The functionary may get up to 12 years of jail and fined 60 million rubles.
