The EU is shocked by the assassination of Boris Nemtsov, which took place yesterday.
"We are shocked by what has happened. We think about the loved ones of the deceased. We call for a prompt and impartial investigation and expect that the perpetrators will be found and brought to justice," his representative is quoted by RIA Novosti.
The head of European diplomacy, Federica Mogherini, gave her opinion on this tragedy. "I am outraged and in deep sadness to learn about the brutal murder of Boris Nemtsov," she said.
"The EU expects the Russian authorities to conduct a full, prompt and transparent investigation into the murder, and quickly bring the perpetrators to justice," added Mogherini, expressing condolences to the friends and family of the deceased.
