Last week in Copenhagen, at the international forum of the World Health Organization (WHO) dedicated to the problem of resistance to antimicrobial drugs, the book "Fundamentals of Infection Control" was presented, dedicated to the prominent ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva.The author is an Azerbaijani, the head of the International Science and Medical Center named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva that functions in Kiev, the head of the Department of Microbiology and Epidemiology at the National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, the National Coordinator of Ukraine of the European Office of WHO, Professor Aydin Salmanov.The book contains important scientific and practical information on infectious patient safety and on how to ensure optimum conditions for the provision of quality healthcare, as well as on risk management in the implementation of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
