The legal status of a counter-terrorism operation has been cancelled in four villages of the Kizilyurtovsky district of Dagestan today.
"Today at 11:30 a special counter-terrorism operation regime was stopped. According to recent reports, seven militants died during the raid," TASS cited a representative of the Operational Headquarters in Dagestan.
Earlier, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee reported that six militants had been killed, among them the leader of the Kizilyurt gang, Oleg Chaliapin. A counter-terrorism operation regime was imposed on Sultan Yangiyurt, Nechaevka, Kirovaul and Chontaul on February 25.
