Victims of Sergey Tsapok’s gang from the village of Kushchevskaya have filed lawsuits with civil courts, demanding compensation worth a total of 1.379 billion rubles for the psychological and physical damage they suffered, said Yelena Starkova, their lawyer, RIA Novosti reports.
The villagers had previously demanded compensation worth over 2.4 billion rubles in total. The Krasnodar Regional Court ruled in their favour. However, they need to address district courts to get the property of Tsapok’s gang arrested and distributed as compensation.
Lawsuits have already been filed with the Kushchevskaya District Court and the Rostov-on-Don Court. About 10 people have filed lawsuits.
