At the Tihoretsk station of the North Caucasus Railway in Krasnodar Territory, sulfuric acid has leaked from a holding tank, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of the Russian Federation in the region reported.
The leak occurred last night about 21:20 Moscow time in the park "B" of Tikhoretsk station, Interfax cites the report.
The tank was taken to a dead end road to the sludge of park "K", and the surrounding area was cordoned off by police. In total, 59 people and 11 vehicles were involved in the elimination of the incident.
The volume of acid that poured out was not disclosed. It is reported that there is no threat to the population.
