Last night in Grozny a man was blown up by a grenade that he threw at the police, a source in law enforcement bodies of the Chechen Republic said.
"The incident occurred on Saturday night. A resident of Grozny, a suspect in the murder, was surrounded in a high-rise apartment building on the Lev Yashin Street. When the police ordered him to surrender, he threw a hand grenade towards them, and as a result of the explosion was injured and died on the spot," 'Interfax' quoted the source.
Apart from him, nobody was hurt.
As specified by the law enforcement agencies today, the offender was a suspect in the murder of Boris Nemtsov.
"The man surrounded by law enforcement agencies in Grozny was suspected in the murder of Boris Nemtsov," the source said.
