Sulfuric acid leak in Tikhoretsk is cleared up

At Tikhoretsk railway station, a sulfuric acid leak from a cistern has been cleared up.

 

"The cistern with acid has been sent to its final destination - the city of Belorechensk. 76 people and 14 items of equipment were involved in the clear-up, 29 personnel and 5 of the pieces of equipment were from the Ministry of Emergency Situations," the press service of the State Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Krasnodar Territory reported, according to the portal BHA.

 

The night before, in Park "B" of the train station at Tikhoretsk, sulfuric acid leaked from the cistern. According to the MOE, there was no threat to the public.
