Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the framework of the Week of Natural Resources today held a meeting with a group of officials and professionals responsible for environmental protection, according to Iranian news agency Mehr.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Department of the Environment, the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, the Ministry of Development of urban infrastructure and roads, the Ministry of Energy of Iran, as well as the municipality and the Governor-General of Tehran. A group of activists from non-governmental organizations should also attend the meeting," RIA Novosti reports.

The report says nothing about the health of 75-year-old Khamenei, according to some media reports, suffering because of advanced prostate cancer. In September 2014 the Supreme Leader of Iran, who has been in the post for the last 25 years, had an operation successfully carried out.
