In Almaty airport a passenger suspected of having Ebola was removed from a flight of Turkish Airlines and taken to hospital.


Chief Medical Officer of Kazakhstan Zhandarbek Bekshin confirmed to 'Interfax' the information about a passenger with such symptoms.

 

According to the Kazakh media, the passenw is a citizen of Russia, 37-year-old Sergei Baryshnikov, who lives in the city of Lisakovsk in the Kostanai region of Kazakhstan.

 

Vladimir Rudenko, who was accompanying Baryshnikov, has also been taken under the supervision of physicians.

 

The men arrived in Almaty from Conakry (Guinea's capital) via Casablanca (Morocco) and Istanbul, and on further flights of the airline "Scat" were supposed to fly to Kostanai.
