An earthquake occurred in Kazakhstan on March 15 at 20:01 local time, 28 kilometers to the south-east of the city of Almaty, Trend reports.

The quake's magnitude measured 6.3, according to the Committee for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan. The earthquake was felt in Almaty, measuring 4-5 points. At the same time, the Kazakhstan National Data Center estimates the earthquake's magnitude at 5.1.
