Turkish fighter jets intercept Russian plane

According to the media, Turkish fighter aircraft have intercepted Russian plane. 


The General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces reports that a Russian Il-20 aircraft was in neutral zone air, flying parallel to Turkish airspace from west to east at an average distance of 12-25 nautical miles off the coast, the Anadolu agency reports.


"In response, two F-16 fighter aircraft, coming from an airfield in Bandirma, carried out a warning flight to the northeast of Kırklareli, and then observed the plane flying in international airspace in a northerly direction, the portal Black Sea News reports.


Another two F-16 Turkish military fighters observed the flight in international airspace from 13:53 to 13:55 local time.
