Peace Camp “Generations for Peace” accomplished its work in Sochi


The closing ceremony of the first international youth camp in Europe “Generatios for Peace” took place in Sochi, in the capital of 2014 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, Yuga.ru reports. It was attended by its founder and the head of the “Generations for Peace” movement, Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein of Jordan, Princess Sara Al-Faisal, the movement’s general director,  Dmitry Kozak, the Deputy to the Russian Prime Minister, Dmitry Chernyshenko, the President of the Organizing Committee of Sochi 2014 and Anatoly Pakhomov, the mayor of Sochi.

In the Sochi camp “Generations for Peace” delegates from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Russian Federation, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine have been trained based  on the five modules as the future pioneers for the movement “Generations fro Peace”: "Sport and Peace" Movement for Peace, "" Working with children and youth "," Training the instructors "and" Protection and Partnership” .

The movement “Generations for Peace" brought together 51 thousand children from conflict regions around the world. During the next four years, the movement plans to hold camps in all five Olympic continents, taking delegates from more than 100 countries.
