Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the people of the country on the spring holiday of Novruz.
"The Novruz holiday, originating from the deepest layers of our distant past, has worthily preserved the wealth of the spiritual world of the Azerbaijani people. This festival is a clear indication of our infinite love and high respect for nature, created by God with extraordinary wisdom. The ceremonies of Novruz occupy a unique position in our treasury of cultural wealth, which glorified the country of lights as an ancient center at the crossroads of civilizations. The Spring Festival, which is the bearer of the highest human values, is one of the masterpieces of world heritage, which makes every Azerbaijani proud," APA cited him as saying.
"All our compatriots outside the country celebrate the Novruz holiday with us in light of the ideology of Azerbaijanism. I hope this national holiday will give a lot of joy, happiness and prosperity to each hearth, to each family," Ilham Aliyev wished.
