Celebrations of Novruz were attended by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
At the square in front of the Maiden’s Tower, children dressed in national costumes greeted Ilham Aliyev on the Novruz holiday and performed dances on the square.
President Ilham Aliyev lit the Novruz bonfire, and then made a speech.
Afterwards, the president visited the National Seaside Park and watched performances of athletes in front on stands dedicated to the First European Games, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.
