A child was taken out of a locked house in Makhachkala, where a special operation to eliminate militants is ongoing, a law enforcement source in Dagestan said.
"Security forces managed to bring the child from the building, the mother refused to leave the surrounded house. The active phase of the special operation resumed, fighting is ongoing," RIA Novosti quoted the interlocutor.
This morning law-enforcement officers initiated a counter-terrorist operation in the Leninsky district of Makhachkala. A building where two militants could be hiding has been surrounded. A police officer was wounded during the negotiations with them.
