The Turkish authorities have deported a 22-year-old Georgian woman trying to cross the Turkish-Georgian border in a suitcase and a 25-year-old citizen of Georgia who helped the woman, Hurriyet Daily News reports with reference to the DHA agency.
The customs officers were suspicious of the behavior of men at a border checkpoint in Sarpi. The Georgian man was forced to open the suitcase, where the woman was discovered, Lenta.ru reports.
The woman decided to carry out such an act as she had an access ban due to a past conviction in Turkey.
