Catholicos of All Armenia Garegin II has met Slovenian President Danil Turk, who visited Echmiadzin, accompanied by Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian, News Armenia reports, citing the press-service of Echmiadzin.
The Catholicos talked about the church’s mission in the life of Armenians, complicated historical stages and the restoration of ecclesiastical life.
Turk pointed out that although the countries are separated by large distance, they have a lot in common. He noted that the spiritual leaders play an important role in peace.
The sides talked about relations between the state and the church. They noted the importance of strengthening spiritual values.
