Forum of intellectuals of Kazakhstan and Russia held in Astana

Today a forum of intellectuals of Kazakhstan and Russia started in Astana. The President of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Erimbetov, made a welcoming speech, noting that this event will be a permanent dialogue platform, where leaders of the two countries can actualize and develop important civic initiatives.The main theme of the forum was the anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Participants in the meeting will discuss issues of preserving objective historical knowledge of the Great Patriotic War and counteracting attempts at its falsification.According to Erimbetov, one of the most important tasks of the Forum is the creation of an objective positive public opinion in our countries on development of integration projects, including in the humanitarian sphere.
