Murad Shuaybov and Isa Abdurakhmanov have been sentenced for the murder of Malik Ahmedilov, the executive editor of the “Khakikat” (“Truth”) paper and editor-in-chief of the “Sogratl” paper, on August 11, 2009, Interfax reports.Shuaybov shot Ahmedilov and was taken from the crime scene by Abdurakhmanov by car. Shuaybov was detained in January 2013, his accomplice in April 2014. The Leninsky District Court of Makhachkala sentenced Shuaybov to 10.5 years of jail, Abdurakhmanov to 8 years of jail. Both will serve their sentence at a high-security penal colony.
